· There are 14,500 and 17,500 people trafficked into the U.S. each year.[3]
· Out of the victims of human trafficking 70% are women and 50% are children.[4]
· Common places where pimps recruit women and children in the U.S. for sex trafficking are parks, playgrounds, homeless shelters, bus stations, Junior High and High Schools.[5]
· National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reports an estimated 100,000 children are at risk of being commercial sexually exploited annually.[6]
· The average age of entry into the commercial sex industry is between 12 to 14 years old in the United States.[7]
· Types of Child Sex Trafficking are pimp controlled prostitution, stripping, residential brothels, escort services and truck stops.[8]
· The average cost of a slave is $90.00.[9]
· A pimp will lure a child with food, clothes, attention, friendship, love, and a seemingly safe place to stay developing false sense of trust with then after engaging the child in prostitution.[10]

• De todas las víctimas de la trata de humanos, el 70% son mujeres y el 50% son niños.[4]
• Lugares comunes donde proxenetas reclutan mujeres y niños en los EEUU para trata de sexo son: parques, patios recreativos, refugios de deambulantes, estaciones de autobuses, Escuelas Intermedias y Superiores.[5]
• El Centro Nacional de Niños Perdidos y Explotados reporta que un estimado de 100,000 niños anualmente están en riesgo de ser objetos de explotación sexual comercial.[6]
• La edad promedio para entrar en la industria sexual comercial es de 12 a 14 años de edad en los EEUU.[7]
• Tipos de Trata Sexual de Menores son prostitución controlada por proxenetas, desnudez, burdeles o locales de prostitución residenciales, servicios de escolta y paradas de camiones.[8]
• El costo promedio de un esclavo es $90.00.[9]
• Un proxeneta atraerá a un niño/a con comida, ropa, atención, amor, y un lugar aparentemente seguro para estar desarrollando falso sentido de confianza con ellos para luego atraer al niño/a a la prostitución.[10]
